Ranger / WestPine

West Fraser medium density fibreboard (MDF) panels are composed of 100% western white softwoods that have a consistent light sandy color. The purity and long fibres associated with this material allow for deep, detailed profiling and smooth machining for easier and better finishing. An added benefit of our panels is the light colour of our MDF reduces colour show-through when painting. The result is significantly longer tool life and a beautiful finish.

West Fraser operates two MDF plants, Ranger Board &WestPine, located in Western Canada.

West Fraser’s sawmilling operations provide the majority of the materials for our MDF panels. This enables us to maintain a constant supply of sawdust and deliver the most consistent quality panel on the market. Our facilities operate state of the art equipment and controls in order to ensure our MDF panels meet the strictest of quality control standards.
